The hot and sour bond...

When I first saw my sister, I asked my mother, 'why did you get her, wasn't I there ?' , as hilarious as this may sound, you may want to consider the possesivness of a 2 year old gargi then..

And as I look back, it is since then that I have this little monster in my life, who was there to share everything I had only to myself..my attention, my food, my chocolates.. Well you know the list is generic!
Yes as disgraceful as it may sound we still fight over why you wore my dress to you ate my chocolates!

In the past few days, as I scrolled down my news feed on Facebook, I saw atleast one post describing the elder-younger sweet sour bond..(and yes they all fit into my checklist) and my thoughts pondered each day

I never celebrated rakhi, since I didn't have a brother. So this day never meant much to me more than a festivity as there was no celebration to look forward to..

But that is something I never felt concerned about...because having either a brother or sister...well you know what we deal with day in and out..

Jokes apart..having a sibbling to share the last piece of choclate is the best thing in the world. They ensure you never are alone in anything and though they may seem like epitome of irritation and stubbornness at times.. They make sure they have your back

To this soulful relationship that I am blessed with my little monster and to many others out there who do not celebrate rakhi for reasons such as mine... Let this day be a reason to celebrate this sweet sour bond with them...
And to those who did celebrate, I envy you for that rollercoaster already : Cheers to you :)

I dedicate this to all the wonderful siblings in the world.Thank you for you complete us in toto.. You are nature's way of gifting us a TV with all possible entertaining channels that have shows with highest TRP!

To be true...what could have we done without you!
Our tears, laughter riots, achievements, failures all stay incomplete without you.

P.S : Niharika (my little monster) .. This is your rakhi gift. I love you to the moon and back..
